Police say suspect fatally shot dairy worker

MADERA -- Two Chowchilla men were arrested Monday on suspicion of shooting two workers, one fatally, in a dairy barn near Chowchilla in January.

Madera County Sheriff John Anderson identified the two suspects in the Jan. 19 shooting as 20-year-old Jesus Reynoso Flores and 22-year-old Jose Antonio Flores Ventura.

Two Madera County men were arrested Tuesday for stealing about $500,000 worth of pallets over the past three years, Merced County sheriff's deputies said.

Jose Manuel Garcia, 28, of Chowchilla, was booked into Merced County Jail on charges of embezzlement and conspiracy to commit a felony, said spokesman Tom MacKenzie.

CHOWCHILLA — When Kirk Delmas took over the Chowchilla baseball program, he was determined to build a winner.

Three years later, Delmas has accomplished nearly all of his goals except for one: beating Washington Union.
