Around Town: Ladies Auxiliary holds rummage sale
LIVINGSTON -- The Livingston-Delhi Ladies Auxiliary Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 8327 will host a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. next Saturday and from 8 a.m. and on Aug. 2, at the Veterans Hall, 9799 Stephens St. in Delhi.
Lots of back to school clothes of all sizes and everything from furniture to the tiniest baby booties, Christmas items and Halloween costumes will be for sale.

Golden Valley holds their round-up
Golden Valley High School will be holding its back to school round-up on Aug. 5 and Aug. 6.
Aug. 5 is juniors with last names A through L from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., last names M through Z from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., all seniors from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Sophomores with last names A through I from noon to 1 p.m., last names H through O from 1 to 2 p.m., last names P through Z from 2 to 3 p.m.
Aug. 6 all freshman from noon to 3 p.m.

Register for Merced High classes
Merced High School round-up and registration will take place on the following dates:
Freshmen last name A through M Aug. 5 1 to 3 p.m.
Freshmen last names N through Z Aug. 6, 1 to 3 p.m.
Aug. 7, sophomores 8 to 11 a.m., seniors 12:30 to 2 p.m. and juniors 2 to 3:30 p.m.
New students may register Aug. 4 through 7.
Sports physicals will take place Aug. 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Golden Valley High School. Cost of the physical is $10.

Help save lives by donating blood
The Livingston community blood drive will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Aug. 7 at 1605 Seventh St.
A donation of one pint can save up to three lives. Everyone who donates a pint of blood will receive a coupon for a pint of Baskin-Robbins ice cream.

Friday is Hamburger Night
The July Family Hamburger Night will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Livingston-Delhi Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 8327, 1605 Seventh St. in Livingston.

ATWATER
Ready for 50 at Atwater High
Atwater High School is turning 50 years old this year. All current and former students, teachers, administrators, employees and their family members are invited to attend the activities planned for Oct. 17 and 18.
The event will start with the homecoming parade and football game on Oct. 17. On Oct. 18, there will be an open house from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the high school with a program, food, entertainment, tours, old movies, community booths and souvenirs. In the evening, combined class reunions will held at various local venues. Everyone is asked to let family and friends know about this exciting event.
