Around Town: Radio of the Past

Christian Life Center will host a community celebration known as Holy Hip Hop Transformed on Friday starting at 5 p.m. with a car show and doors will open at

March Against Meth

This Ain't Your Mama's Church will host their second annual March Against Methamphetamine starting at 10 a.m. on Sept. 6 at the Amtrak Station. Participants will march, ride motorcycles, bikes and drive cars to Courthouse Park. They will also have a custom car, motorcycle and bike show, bounce houses, games, food, live bands and special speakers. Co-sponsors are D.O.S. Ministries, Tranquility House, Hobie House, Merced Rescue Mission, Celebrate Recovery, Madera Rescue Mission and the Merced Police Department. For more information, call (209) 723-6502.

Fete Hispanic heritage

Everyone is invited to the free Hispanic Heritage Celebration from 1 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 13 at the Merced Open Air Theatre (MOAT) in Applegate Park.
