Taste of Merced County: A lunch to celebrate
The Catholic Professional and Business Club of Merced will have a luncheon at noon today at St. Patrick's Parish Hall on East Yosemite Avenue.
The luncheon will be catered by Fernando's Bistro and is being held to celebrate Our Lady of Mercy School's 80th anniversary. Guest speakers include a graduate of the school and Supervisor John Pedrozo.

Start the day right
The Merced Chapter of Christian Businessmen will have a community breakfast meeting Tuesday at the Merced Golf and Country Club, 6333 N. Golf Road.
The deadline for purchasing tickets is Friday. No tickets will be sold at the door.
Breakfast will be served at 6:30 a.m., and the program begins at 7 a.m. The speaker will be Chancellor Steve Kang from UC Merced.
The cost is $10 per person, and tables of eight can be reserved for $80.

Crab for education
Our Lady of Mercy School will have its annual crab feed and raffle at 5:30 p.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Parish Center, 673 E. Yosemite Ave.

Breakfast for a cause
The Merced Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 4327, serves breakfast on the third Saturday of each month in the east wing of the Veterans Memorial Building, 939 W. Main St.
Scrambled eggs, pancakes and sausage with coffee and orange juice are served from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tickets are $5. Proceeds will be donated to Modesto Post 3199 to help rebuild their post that was destroyed by fire last August.

Wake up to menudo
The Knights of Columbus will have its annual pancake/menudo breakfast from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Anthony's Parish Hall, 1801 Winton Way.
The donation per ticket is $7, but children ages 8 and younger get in free. Proceeds go to support council charity and community service projects. Tickets may be purchased at the door.

COULTERVILLE
Roast beef returns The Coulterville Community United Methodist Church has brought back its monthly roast beef dinner from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. March 29 at the church, Highway 49 across from Coulterville Park.
The suggested donation is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 and younger. A family packet is $25 for two adults and two children.
