Maternal grandparents are Isabel Sanchez of Merced and the late Sixto Sanchez. Paternal grandparents are Benilde Cienfuegos of Merced and the late Hector Cienfuegos.

Gustavo Castro and Michelle Searcy of Merced are proud to announce the birth of their son, Donaven Hugh Castro. He was born at 6:58 p.m. on October 14, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center Merced, weighed 5 pounds 10 ounces and was 17 3/4 inches long. Donaven will join his siblings, Summer Castro, Aundrea Castro and Eli Castro, at home. Maternal grandparents are Rick and Audrey Searcy of Merced. Paternal grandparent is Shelly Castro and great-grandpa Herculano Rafael (Poppy), both of Chowchilla.
