Task force targets gang activity in Livingston
Members of the Merced Multi-Agency Gang Task Force made eight arrests Friday, following reports of increased gang activity in Livingston.
The task force, with assistance from the Livingston Police Department, conducted three probation searches, during which the arrests were made.
Task Force Cmdr. Val Pacheco said four of the eight suspects arrested were documented gang members. Those arrests were for a variety of charges, ranging from possession of a controlled substance and weapons possession, Pacheco said.
