Letter: Protest PG&E
Editor: Pacific Gas and Electric has known for several years that many of us use PG&E for our gas and MID for our electrical services. Their company representatives agreed to this system prior to 2001.
If they plan to bill me for service I do not receive, do you think they could send me a dividend check for stock I do not own in PG&E?
There is limited employment in the Merced area and many people drive long distances to their jobs. I guess PG&E felt that our paying nearly $4 per gallon for gasoline wasn't bad enough and they needed to add to our misery.
If enough people get together, we can get a petition to forward to our representatives. One or two letters to state Sen. Jeff Denham, R-Merced, and Assemblywoman Cathleen Calgiani, D-Merced, will help, but several hundred signatures will be more effective.
