Letter: This can't be right
Editor: I am disappointed in the treatment received by Merced County's officials from your newspaper. The way you reported the county administrator's large increase in salary and in the same passage commented that the reason given was because the county was anticipating hard times financially just doesn't equate. There must be more to it than that.
I am also disappointed in the way you reported on the passage by the Planning Commission of that huge development over by Santa Nella. Come on, 45,000 new people? That couldn't be right. And then you put headlines in the paper about air quality, foreclosures, gas prices, water shortages -- give us a break. We all know our government works for us -- not the developers.
So come on Sun-Star, let's try to be fair. The reporting couldn't possibly be correct, could it?
