Letter: A positive way

Editor: As the state of California is broke, why not let Dylan Morse out of jail and into the custody of his parents who can feed, clothe, shelter and monitor him.

In addition, he can pay to go to Merced College, get a job and help care for his friend Ryne. Specifically limit his freedom of movement and contact with others unless supervised by a parent. And, of course, no driving.

While his actions have had tragic consequences that cannot be undone, I believe he will become a better person and make restitution by serving in a positive way.
