Letter: Absurd decision
Editor: On Monday, the City Council made a decision to attempt to better the lives of 296 people. While I applaud the effort to take on a difficult issue, they forgot about the honest hard-working families the action will affect their constituency.
The plan to place a homeless camp in South Merced that will only benefit the "hard to serve" homeless -- parolees, felons and sex offenders -- in the vicinity of a elementary school is absurd.
