Editor: I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to the Merced Police Department and personally to officer Nathan McKinnon.
I had a recent altercation with some very nasty individuals who attempted to rob me. When the police responded, they were extremely polite, mindful of my needs and the situation at hand. The police handled the situation with the utmost respect and in a very professional manner.
So again I would like to say thanks to the hard-working police in Merced. Thank you, for protecting me and my family.
As a moral to the story and a plea for justice, I would beg the city and county of Merced to rethink their ban on medical marijuana dispensaries. Had there been a dispensary in Merced, I feel I would not have been a target because of my medication, I would have a safe, secure location to purchase small amounts or daily amounts.
