Fresno State's Ajirotutu, Malone, Miller selected to play in East-West Shrine Game

FRESNO -- While Fresno State will have to wait at least two more weeks for its bowl fate, three Bulldogs are guaranteed a postseason trip.

Seyi Ajirotutu, Robert Malone and Lonyae Miller have accepted an invitation to play in the 85th East-West Shrine Game on Jan. 23, securing one last chance to impress NFL scouts.

The longest-running all-star game in the country will be played at the Florida Citrus Bowl, and will feature several top senior players.

Ninety percent of the players from last year's game were either drafted into the NFL or signed as free agents, according to the Shrine Game's Web site.

Ajirotutu, Malone and Miller fit that mold.

Miller is averaging more than 5 yards per carry and has four rushing touchdowns. Ajirotutu ranks among the Bulldogs' all-time great receivers and leads all pass-catchers in yards (617), receptions (44) and touchdowns (6).

Malone is averaging 45.4 yards per punt, with a long of 69.
