Prep Roundup: Merced still perfect in the pool

ROCKLIN -- Matt Rabe did a little of everything for the Merced boys water polo team.
The senior scored five goals to go along with 10 assists and nine steals to lead Merced to a perfect 3-0 start at the Sierra Invitational on Friday.
Merced defeated Doughtery Valley 9-1. Steve Eccles' boys then knocked off Dear Valley 11-9 and Johansen 5-1.
Rabe had plenty of help from Sean Hudgins -- who scored nine goals.
Tyer Tatum chipped in with three goals and five steals and Ryan Randall added two goals, three asssits and five steals.
Merced improved to 4-0 on the season.
SOCCER
Atwater, Merced and Buhach Colony all won on Friday.
Jorge Carmona scored three goals as Atwater defeated Mission 5-0 and Folsom 3-0 in the Del Campo Tournament.
Adrian Avila poured in two goals in BC's 4-2 win over Sonora in the Buffalo Cup in Manteca.
Christian Alvarez scored a pair of goals in Merced's 3-1 win over Stockton St. Mary's.

SARATOGA -- The Blue Devils split a pair of games at the West Valley Tournament.
Cuesta defeated MC 8-4 and the Blue Devils rebounded with a 7-6 win over Solano.
