The Merced County Board of Supervisors and the Planning Commission will host a joint study session Tuesday afternoon on the county’s ongoing effort to update its general plan.
The general plan is a state-mandated document that lays out county policies on growth, development, transportation, housing, jobs, agriculture, land conservation and public safety. Overall, it is meant to provide a vision for the county's short-term future.
The study session is open to the public.
It starts at 2 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors chambers on the third floor of the Merced County Administration Building, 2222 M Street.
