Around Town: Equine art experience

MARIPOSA -- The Jamboree Winter Challenge Model Horse Show will host "Manes in the Wind Equine Art Experience" from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Sunday, at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds. Casino night fundraiser

Livingston Pentecost Hall will host a casino night fundraiser from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. today at 1237 Main St. All proceeds will go to "Race for Autism." Come and enjoy blackjack, craps, roulette, 3-card poker, pai gow, let it ride, a poker tournament, prizes, dancing, food, drinks and a raffle. A marriage class is being offered by the First Baptist Church of Merced, beginning on Sunday at 4:30 p.m.

Filoli Gardens trip

The Le Grand Garden Club will sponsor a bus trip to Filoli Gardens departing from Brights Nursery at 6:45 a.m. on March 12. Cost is $50 and includes a tour of Filoli's house and garden, a stop at Sunset Magazine's garden and if time permits Summer Winds Nursery.
