The Merced Soroptomists will host a luncheon to honor women who are making extraordinary differences in the lives of women or girls.
The luncheon will be held at the Elks Club from noon to 1:30 p.m. March 19.

Merced College noncredit program offers free yoga classes on Mondays through Thursdays from 9 to 10:30 a.m. The class is at Denisa's at G and Bear Creek. This is especially beneficial for seniors.

Love animals?
Trails of Happy Tails, a local nonprofit group dedicated to saving shelter animals and finding them new homes, needs volunteers to help.
Especially needed are people who can foster kittens for a few days, or mother dogs and their new puppies for a short time.
Also needed are people to help take photos of shelter animals or to help transport animals to rescue organizations. No personal vehicles are needed for transportation.

Travis Credit Union invites all graduating seniors to apply for a scholarship. Students must be a high school senior with a GPA of 3.0, bound for a two- or four-year college or university and a member of Travis Credit Union in good standing.
