Around Town: Environmental crisis

ATWATER -- The San Joaquin Chapter of National Association for Uniformed Services will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Atwater Memorial Building at Fifth Street and Broadway.

The topic will be the global environmental crisis and the "Eleventh Hour."

Camellia show

The Atwater Garden Club and Camellia Society will host the 32nd annual Queen of the Valley Camellia Show March 28 at the Atwater Community Center, 760 E. Bellevue Road.

Admission is free and it is open to all. Registration of exhibitors is from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. with the camellia viewing open to the public from 1 to 3 p.m. There will be a raffle drawing at 3 p.m.

Kindergarten enroll

Crookham, Frank Sparkes and Winfield schools will have their kindergarten roundup from March 31 to April 2.
