ATWATER -- The Police Activities League will start up again with BMX nights at Veterans Park from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the first and third Monday of each month through October. The first is Monday.
Bikes and helmets will be provided and long-sleeve shirts and pants are required.
Boys and girls age 7 to 14 are invited to participate and must provide their birth certificates. Registration forms are available at the Atwater PAL office between 3 and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Yosemite Church will host a 5k/10k walk/run for Ryne Spitzer, a 19-year-old Golden Valley High School graduate who was injured in a car accident.
