Action agency meetings

Tribute to agriculture

Chamber installation

The Atwater Chamber of Commerce invites you to its installation dinner and program starting with a no-host bar at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. and music from 8 to 10 p.m. on Friday at the Atwater Community Center, 760 E. Run for Ryne

Yosemite Church will host a 5K/10K Walk/Run for Ryne Spitzer, a 19-year-old Golden Valley High School graduate who was injured in a car accident. Registration is $25 and includes one raffle ticket and one Run for Ryne wristband. All proceeds will go toward Ryne's medical expenses. Exhibitor deadline

The deadline for independent junior exhibitors planning to enter their sheep, swine or goats at the 2009 Merced County Fair is May 20. Exhibitors must give management a copy of their birth certificate or driver's license as proof of age, a photo of their animal, appropriate proof of ownership, permanent tag, tattoo and/or hog ear notch information.
