Repair work planned for Highway 152

LOS BANOS -- Travelers to the Westside and Bay Area should schedule extra time for the drive, Caltrans announced Friday

Beginning Monday, westbound Highway 152 will be repaved and Caltrans will alternately close both lanes for the repair. The work will stretch from Highway 33 to the Merced/Santa Clara county line. The work will be done from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will continue through Friday, July 10.

Caltrans will also be repaving the eastbound portion of the roadway along the same stretch during that time.

Finally, the entire on-ramp from Highway 33 to westbound 152 will be closed from Monday until July 10, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, according to a Caltrans advisory.

Motorists should plan for 15-minute delays and alternate routes should be taken whenever possible, the agency advised.
