Four men were arrested early Sunday for allegedly shooting at an occupied house in Delhi, according to Deputy Tom MacKenzie with the Merced County Sheriff's Department.
While all four of the house's residents were home during the shooting, no one was injured.
A sheriff's deputy encountered the suspects when responding to a report of shots fired in the 16000 block of West Schendel Avenue just after 3 a.m. Sunday.
The suspects' car matched the description of a car involved in a recent shooting in Turlock, given by the Turlock Police Department
After a deputy stopped the car and detained the four suspects, the deputy discovered a small caliber hand gun as well as live and spent rounds inside the car.
When detectives arrived at the house, two bricks had been thrown through a window, a gun shot had shattered the kitchen window and it appeared that four bullets had punctured the house's outer walls.
According to the sheriff's department, the house on West Schendel Avenue had been shot at twice before in October, once on Saturday evening and once on the 17th.
Sheriff's department investigators believe the shooting may be gang-related since the four suspects are gang members.
The suspects are: Gilbert Hermosillo 20; Mark Clark 18; Daniel Lopez 18; Estevan Carrillio 21, all from Delhi
The four suspects were taken to the Merced County Jail. They face charges that include shooting at an inhabited dwelling and the possession of a concealed fire arm. They are being held on $250,000 bail each.
