Suspect in stabbing of wheelchair-bound man arrested in Dos Palos

A man suspected of stabbing a 77-year-old wheelchair-bound man has been arrested in Dos Palos, the Fresno County Sheriff's Department reported.

Joseph Lee Quintina, 24, of Mendota, was booked into Fresno County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder.

Officers went Monday morning to the 41000 block of West Valeria Avenue, where they found the 77-year-old victim on the floor of his bedroom with injuries to his back and neck. The victim was treated at Community Regional Medical Center and released.

Deputies learned that Quintana was in Dos Palos, where he was arrested in the 7000 block of Azusa Avenue.
