HORNITOS -- A seminar on mistletoe and bark beetle pest management will be held from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 7 at Stag Hall, 2884 Bear Valley Road.
The joint venture between the U.S. Forest Service and the University of Califor- nia's Cooperative Extension offices of Mariposa and Merced counties will look at mistletoe and bark beetle biology, what constitutes a pest problem, proper tree care and other issues.
Speakers include Beverly Buloan, entomologist; Joel Egan, entomologist; and Martin MacKenzie, forest pathologist.
