LOS BANOS -- Four people were injured Tuesday in a solo-vehicle crash near Los Banos.
The incident was reported at 8:20 p.m. on Henry Miller Road, west of Highway 165.
One of the injured passengers was a 1-year-old boy, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver, 27-year-old Melissa Kay Johnson of Los Banos, was traveling westbound with three passengers in a 2004 Suzuki Forenza.
For unknown reasons, the vehicle drifted into the road's eastbound lane. The driver turned the steering wheel to the right in response, but overcorrected and drove the Suzuki off the north edge of the road, the CHP reported.
The Suzuki spun around and overturned on the road's north shoulder.
The baby, Everette Aiden Self, was flown to UC Davis Medical Center with major injuries. He was ejected from the vehicle and is in critical condition, the CHP reported.
Johnson and passenger Thea Amber Ordunez, 30, of Los Banos, were taken to hospitals in Modesto with major injuries.
The third passenger, 3-year-old Marcus Carl Self, was taken to Memorial Hospital Los Banos with moderate injuries.
Drugs or alcohol were not factors in the crash, investigators said.
