Yosemite extends public review period for Merced River Plan

Yosemite National Park is extending the public review period for the new Merced River Plan by 60 days.

In response to public comments, the review process of the Merced Wild and Scenic River Comprehensive Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement has been extended to Feb. 4, 2010.

Written responses must be postmarked no later than Feb. 4 to be included. All written responses should be addressed to the Superintendent, Attn: Merced River Plan, P.O. Box 577, Yosemite National Park, CA 95389, or may be sent via e-mail to yose_planning@nps.gov or by fax to (209) 379-1294.

Public meetings are planned for the fall.
