The Merced County’s Rescue Mission needs donations for its Thanksgiving Day dinner, according to CEO Herb Opalek. The mission still needs 245 turkeys, as well as stuffing, cranberries and regular potatoes, Opalek said.
The mission expects to feed approximately 5,100 people at sites in Merced, Planada, Los Banos and Winton. The Merced dinner will be held at the American Legion Hall at 939 W. Main St.
