United Way and Barnes and Noble are partnering to help get books into the hands of young people in Merced County.
Books bought now through December will be distributed to local Head Start programs, nonprofit agencies and public schools throughout Merced County.
Last year, more than 500 books were distributed in the county.
A display is set up at Barnes and Noble, 1720 W. Olive in Merced.
A few rules are needed to help foster a feeling of community. We encourage a free, CIVIL and open exchange of ideas in a climate of mutual respect, but any post that violates someone's right to use and enjoy mercedsunstar.com is prohibited.
