New Merced council members, mayor, to be sworn in Nov. 30

The city of Merced said new members of the City Council will be sworn in at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, in the Council Chambers.

Mayor Bill Spriggs and Council members Bill Blake, Josh Pedrozo and Mary-Michal Rawling will take office that night. They will join Council members John Carlisle, Michele Gabriault-Acosta and Noah Lor.

Leaving the Council is Mayor Ellie Wooten and Council members Joe Cortez and Jim Sanders.

The next regular meeting of the City Council is scheduled for Dec. 7. The Council meets in the Council Chambers on the second floor of the Merced Civic Center, 678 W. 18th St., Merced.
