Biscotti sale starting

The Italian Catholic Federation will sponsor a biscotti sale on Dec. 5 and 6 at St. Patrick's Church, 671 E. Yosemite Ave. from 2 to 5 p.m. and they will be sold after Masses. Preorders may be picked up on Dec. 4 between 2 and 5 p.m. They are $6 a dozen and proceeds will go to scholarships, Mercy Hospital Foundation, OLM School, St. Vincent de Paul and other charities. The Merced County Chamber of Commerce will gather to celebrate the holiday season on Dec. 8 at 5:30 p.m. at Fernando's Bistro, 510 W. Main St. The price of admission is an unwrapped toy for the "Cops for Kids Toy Drive." You can also drop off toys throughout the day at the Merced County Sheriff's Department trucks at the Merced County building parking lot (2222 M St.).
