Merced County Realtors' officers installed

The Merced County Association of Realtors said it held its annual installation of officers and directors.

Realtor Dave Konesky, of Coldwell Banker/Vintage Group and Regional 7 chair of the California Association of Realtors, installed the 2010 officers and directors:

President Tina DeLeon, Century 21 Salvadori Realty;

President-elect Ernie Ochoa, Century 21 M&M and Associates;

Secretary/Treasurer Dan Hultgren, Coldwell Banker Gonella Realty;

Directors Bob Gilbert; Maryam Shabazz, Good Neighbor Realtors; Connie Dalke, Connie Dalke Realtors; Terri Miller, Coldwell Banker Gonella Realty; Director Kory Billings, Coldwell Banker Gonella Realty

Immediate Past President Michele Gabriault-Acosta, Coldwell Banker Gonella Realty.

President Gabriault-Acosta, Coldwell Banker Gonella Realty, presented appreciation gifts to the 2009 committee chairmen. She gave Honorary Member for Life certificates from the California Association of Realtors to Peggy Carter, owner of Investors Realty; Gail McCullough, of John J. McCullough Realtor; Ellie Wooten, of Century 21 Salvadori Realty;and Dave Shewey, owner of Shewey Realty.

Gabriault-Acosta recognized retiring director Dorothy Kielty, 2008 president of the association. Kielty is a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Gonella Realty.

Carole McCoy, owner of CMcCoy Realty, presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to Barbara Horta, a Realtor with Century 21 M&M And Associates. Horta has served the Association for many years on various committees.

Dido Krotik, Coldwell Banker Gonella Realty, presented the Bill Del Nero Lifetime Achievement Award to Andy Krotik, Coldwell Banker Gonella Realty.

Ernie Ochoa, Century 21 M&M And Associates, presented the Jesse Fees Memorial Award to Teri Strickland, Coldwell Banker Gonella Realty. Strickland is chair of the Legislative Committee.

Gabriault-Acosta presented the President's Award to Andy Krotik in recognition of his service to the association and the community to encourage legislation to help homeowners, buyers and sellers.

Loren Gonella, owner of Coldwell Banker Gonella Realty, presented the Flanadori Award to Ernie Ochoa, Century 21 M&M and Associates. The Flanadori Award is given for outstanding service to the association's Charitable Foundation. The award is named for past recipients Peggy Flanagan-Priest, Roberta Flanagan Realtor; and Mike Salvadori, owner of Century 21 Salvadori Realty.

Affiliate Anne Rahilly, TransCounty Title, presented the Affiliate of the Year Award to Dawn Kinney, TransCounty Title. Kinney is a past president of the Merced County Chamber of Commerce.

Incoming President Tina DeLeon presented the 2009 Presidents Plaque for outstanding service to Gabriault-Acosta. The Presidents Plaque is sponsored by Chicago Title. The county manager is Greg Martinez.

Gabriault-Acosta passed the gavel to 2010 President Tina DeLeon, a Realtor with Century 21 Salvadori Realty. The plaque was sponsored by Fidelity National Title and Insurance Co.

Also present to honor the award recipients with certificates were Merced County Supervisor Deidre Kelsey; former Merced Mayor Ellie Wooten; Congressman Dennis Cardoza's representative Linda Lopez; Sen. Jeff Denham's representative Louise Farley; Assembly member Cathleen Galgiani's representative Robin Adam, and Merced County Chamber Executive Director Julius Pekar.

Other guests included Larry Combs, CEO of Merced County; John Bramble, Merced city manager, and Nelson Crabb, president of the Merced County Chamber of Commerce.
