Update: Delhi's Letteau Avenue to be partially closed for three months

Merced County said Letteau Avenue in Delhi will be partially closed for three months starting next week.

Parts of the road will be closed from Shanks Road to Merced Avenue, while workers install a bridge over the Turlock Irrigation District canal there. During the closure, a detour will be marked along Merced Avenue. Residents along Letteau will have access to their homes via the detour. Shanks Road will remain completely open during the work, said Curt Royer, Merced County deputy director of roads.

The construction is part of a larger project which will add turn lanes and signal lights to the intersection. Work on the stoplight should begin after next July, Royer said.
