High-speed rail is all but a forgone conclusion for California and the Valley. The project is scheduled to begin construction in 2012. But many questions remain to be answered here in the Valley. What route will the project take? Where will the state place the maintenance hub? And what, if any, negative impacts may the project bring? These and other questions were discussed when "Off the 99" brought to the studio Merced County Supervisor Deidre Kelsey, Greater Merced High-Speed Rail Committee co-chair Lee Boese, and grower and farm bureau member Jean Okuye.
