Roundup: Buhach Colony snaps streak

Davis scores 19 in first Central California Conference victory

ATWATER — The goose egg is gone.

The Buhach Colony boys basketball team jumped out to a 15-point lead at the half and cruised to a 72-55 win for its first Central California Conference victory this season.

Andrew Small played big in the first half, scoring all 11 of his points and collecting nine of his 10 rebounds.

It’s a big time relief, that’s for sure,” said Buhach Colony coach John Bliss, whose team improved to 1-7 in the CCC.

“Honestly, I’m so proud of our guys, because of course, that was weighing over our heads. They’ve continued to work so hard in practice to get better. We could have gone in the tank and gone the other direction.”

Jarrell Davis led all scorers with 19 points. Daniel Bolsar added 10 points for BC.

Jalen Bourbon paced Los Banos with 17 points.

“Not only did we play hard, but we played smart,” Bliss said. “They played well together.”
