Information fair on 2010 crop outlook

DOS PALOS -- California agriculture experts will reveal their 2010 outlook for almonds, cotton and alfalfa in the San Joaquin Valley at a grower resource and information fair in Dos Palos on March 2.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to noon, will offer growers a free color GIS crop map of their farm, and information booths with the latest resource materials. University of California integrated pest management and cooperative extension advisers will be available to answer questions at the fair, which will be held at the Scout Hut, 1902 Marguerite St. at Center Avenue in Dos Palos.

There is no charge to attend the fair. For more information, call (530) 370-5325 or e-mail marcia@sustainablecotton.org. The farming project is a program under the direction of the Sustainable Cotton Project.
