LIVINGSTON -- The regular Tuesday meeting of the Livingston City Council has been canceled. The council will instead hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Items on the agenda for discussion are an update on water and wastewater rates and consideration of an ordinance establishing a moratorium on medical marijuana dispensaries.
The water rate update probably stems from the recent decision by a Merced County Superior Court judge that Livingston's controversial water rate system is unconstitutional. The judge demanded the city halt the implementation of its water rate increases.
