An employee of a North Merced restaurant was robbed at gunpoint Monday night, according to the Merced Police Department.
Chris Bounlang, an employee of the family-owned Thai Cuisine II at East Yosemite Avenue and Paulson Road, was emptying trash into a Dumpster at 9:30 p.m. Monday when he was approached by two Hispanic males, between the ages of 17 and 21. One of them pulled a handgun and demanded money, according to the police department. They fled on foot after Bounlang gave them cash.
