The Merced County Board of Supervisors wants to recognize local volunteers.
The supervisors have announced that they'll accept nominations for their annual volunteer recognition program through April 2.
"The Board of Supervisors is honored to be recognizing our citizens who go above and beyond to work as a volunteer in their community," said Board Chairman Jerry O'Banion in a news release to promote the event. "The annual volunteer recognition program established in 1999 by the board continues the long tradition of saying thank you to these individuals for their hard work."
