Taco truck robbed by masked suspects

Three suspects wearing ski masks robbed a taco truck Monday night in Delhi, the Merced County Sheriff's Department reported.

The incident happened shortly before 11 p.m. in the 9000 block of Stephens Street, after three men ran into the truck and told a 26-year-old female employee to hand over all the cash in the register. One of the suspects slapped the woman on the back of the head after she hesitated, MacKenzie said.

While she was getting money out of the register, one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and pointed it at her.

The men fled on foot, carrying an undisclosed amount of cash and items stolen from the woman.

The suspects are all described as Latino, in their early 20s, wearing dark clothing.
