Home invasion reported in Livingston

- vpatton@mercedsun-star.com

Livingston police are seeking four men who committed a home invasion around 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the 500 block of Olds Avenue.

The four suspects went to a home, telling the female victim they were interested in renting a trailer in back of the residence, according to Lt. Sharon Silva.

After the victim allowed the men inside her home, they tied her up in the back of the residence. The men took jewelry from the home and fled. The victim wasn't physically hurt, Silva said.

The men were seen driving away, possibly in a light brown, older model Nissan sedan.

The victim didn't see any weapons during the robbery and there are few details about the robbers, all of whom were described as Latino men.

Silva said it's unknown whether the robbery was related to a home invasion reported in the south Atwater area earlier this week.

Police said anyone with information about the crime should call Detective John Ramirez at (209) 394-7916.

Reporter Victor A. Patton can be reached at (209) 385-2431 or vpatton@mercedsun-star.com.
