Albert Millan is picking up this spring right where he left off last year.
The Livingston senior is a serious threat to win both the shot put and the discus at this year's Sac-Joaquin Section Masters championship.
Millan placed tenth at the state meet last year in the shot put.

On Wednesday at the Western Athletic Conference-Trans-Valley Conference Challenge Meet, he launched a discus throw of 165 feet and 4 inches, which is the No. 1 mark in the section this spring.
The senior also tossed the shot put 54-3, which ranks second in the section.
After experiencing the state meet last year, Millan vowed to work harder to get back and medal this year.
It looks like he's well on his way.

The Golden Valley boys golf team is off to a 5-0 start in the Central California Conference.
The fifth win didn't come easy.
Golden Valley defeated Buhach Colony 220-221 on Tuesday.
The biggest shot had to come from Andrew Curiel, who holed out an eagle from 100 yards away.
Curiel finished with a round of 38 at Rancho Del Rey.
"After that, Andrew told me he didn't know which way his round would go from there," GV golf coach Rod Ivey said. "He had tripled No. 3 and birdied one. It was just a weird day."
Meanwhile, BC had its chances to win.
"The stars aligned for GV (Tuesday)," Buhach Colony golf coach Rich Cometta said in an e-mail. "Andrew Curiel holed out for eagle from 100 yards out. One of my kids missed a birdie putt inside of a foot.
"The match was that close."
If Buhach Colony could have managed a tie, the tie-breakers would have gone BC's way.
The sixth players for both teams finished with the same round.
The next tie-breaker would have went to the combined scores on holes 7-9, where Buhach Colony had the advantage.

The Buhach Colony softball team may have lost some of its firepower from last year with the graduations of Morgana Dallas and Cassie Kalapsa.
However, first-year coach Anita Masaniai-Robert still has one of the elite pitchers in the area to lean on in Alex Molina.
The senior was the Central California Conference's top pitcher last year.
Molina powered her team to a 3-0 win over Livingston on Wednesday afternoon, pitching a no-hitter and picking up 11 strikeouts along the way.
Buhach Colony will need performances similar to that if BC is going to make another run at a CCC title.
