16th Street repaving begins Monday

Drivers on 16th and G streets will notice lots of construction for the next several months.

The $1.2 million resurfacing project on 16th Street will begin Monday.

The project will repave the stretch of 16th between G and V streets, and G Street from 16th to the alley just south of 22nd Street.

The roads will remain open but will be reduced to two travel lanes at times, the city said.

Turlock's Teichert Construction was awarded the contract.
