CATHEYS VALLEY -- Come and join the annual Coyote Springs Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday at Coyote Springs Ranch, 2100 Old Highway.

Asian Fest

The Martial Arts Club at UC Merced will host its fifth annual Asian Fest -- A Celebration of Culture at 11 a.m. Saturday at the UC campus.

Easter egg hunt

The Kiwanis Club of Greater Merced will host its annual Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday in Applegate Park.

The egg hunt is free and everyone is welcome. Kiddieland will open at 11 a.m.


Resurrection miracle

Valley Baptist Church invites you to rejoice in the miracle of resurrection at 7 a.m. Sunday for the sunrise service at 3312 G St.

A complimentary Easter brunch will be hosted at 9 a.m. and an Easter egg hunt for tkids up to sixth grade. Child care will be provided.

Hamburger night The Livingston/Delhi Veterans of Foreign Wars #8327 and Ladies Auxiliary will be open to the public for hamburger night from 6 to 8 p.m. April 8 at the Veterans Memorial Hall, 1605 Seventh St.

Garden club tour

Merced Garden Club will host its annual tour and fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 14.

"Let the Bells Ring" will be the theme this year and refreshments will be served along with a raffle. Proceeds will benefit the club's scholarships.

Golden Gala Concert

The College of the Arts' department of music at CSU Stanislaus with the Turlock Concert Association will present the Golden Gala Concert at 7:30 p.m. April 15 at the Turlock Community Theatre.

Tickets are $10 for general admission and $8 for students, seniors and CSU faculty and staff. All proceeds will benefit the Department of Music Scholarship Fund.

Civil War re-enactment

The Las Mariposas Civil War Group and the American Civil War Association will present the Civil War reenactment on April 17 and 18 at Long's Mariposa Ranch.

There will be two full battles on April 17 and an all new twilight battle on April 18 at dusk. Food and refreshments will be available by local nonprofit groups. Coolers and picnic items will be prohibited since all money goes to charitable causes.
