Even before Bob Casey was promoted to head football coach at Merced College, the fall season has always been a long one for he and his wife, MC volleyball coach Jessica Casey.
Coaching at any level requires quite a few hours of tireless commitment, and having two sports going at the same time can make for a stressful household. Throw into the mix the fact that both programs have had their ups and downs in recent memory and you can imagine there have been more than one evening where it was no fun being in the Casey household.
With both now serving in a head-coaching capacity, the 2010 season already promised to be more interesting than usual. But the Caseys went and upped the anty by adding to the family. Baby Brennan came into the world at the end of MC's spring semester and promises to add one more interesting element to the Casey's already hectic fall schedule.
Hopefully Brennan can provide the good luck charm that helps turn both MC sports around.
