Los Banos' Alexis Barcellos led the way with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Merced's Alexa Lawler, as Los Banos almost swept the singles matches against its former Central California Conference rival.
LB tacked on a pair of doubles victories to pick up a 6-3 road victory.
Charlotte Sofranek provided Merced's only singles win, defeating Aitana Munoz 4-6, 6-4, (10-6 tiebreak).
"We graduated four out of our five singles players from last year, so the girls don't have a lot of experience there yet," Merced coach Judy Douglas said. "A lot of the matches were pretty competitive.
"They just need to get a few more matches under their belts before league starts and they'll be fine."
