Tips to safely prepare your Thanksgiving dinner

By YeseniaAmaro on 11/24/10 16:11

I want to wish you all a happy Thanksgiving.

I also want to share a report that I found on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website that provides tips on how to safely prepare your holiday meal.

Food safety is important because of the potential of foodborne illness— any illness that is related to food ingestion. According to the CDC, patients with foodborne illnesses typically present gastrointestional track symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain. But nonspecific symptoms and neurologic symptoms can also occur.

Here’s the report, please take a few minutes to at least scan through it before preparing your Thanksgiving dinner.
