Caroling in Catheys Valley

Everyone is welcome to join friends and neighbors for caroling at the schoolhouse at Catheys Valley at the community park near McCay Hall on Friday at 7 p.m.

The group will sing around the tree, enjoy "A Reading Of Our Hearts" and share hot cocoa, cookies and friendship in the decorated 1879 schoolhouse.

Children nominated people who have shown kindness, and their names and kind deeds are written on hearts that are read and hung on the tree.

The tradition has continued since the community established the Catheys Valley Historical Society and saved the schoolhouse, rededicating it to the service of the community in April 2000.
