Merced, Los Banos AAA to collect suitcases for kids who 'age out' of foster care system

The offices of the Merced and Los Banos AAA are conducting a month-long service project to collect suitcases to be distributed to children that "age out" of the foster care system.

Many children in that situation must move their belongings in large black garbage bags. You can help by donating your gently used suitcases. Until Aug. 1, you may bring your gently used suitcases to the AAA office, 3065 M Street in Merced. The coordinator for this project is Brynn Wolcott, (209) 726-7450. She will see to it that the Child Protective Service, Foster Care personnel get the suitcases.
