LOS BANOS -- Los Banos clinched the outright Western Athletic Conference title with a 35-6 win over Pacheco in the first Crosstown Clash Friday night.
James Sams ran 15 times for 103 yards and a pair of touchdowns for Los Banos, which had a shutout spoiled in the fourth quarter when Pacheco's Francisco Gomez jumped on a Los Banos fumble in its own end zone.
Pacheco's Daniel Marquez, who stepped in during the third quarter for his first quarterback action of the season, completed five of eight passes for 65 yards.
Le Grand 56, Mariposa 14
LE GRAND -- Daniel Guizar powered the Bulldogs to a win in the Green and Gold Bowl to clinch a perfect 10-0 record and the outright Southern League title.
Guizar ran for touchdowns of 1, 12, 5, 7 and 5 as Le Grand (7-0 Southern League) jumped out to a 42-0 lead at the half.
Guizar finished with 138 yards on 23 carries.
Le Grand quarterback Alex Bucio also threw three touchdowns. Bucio twice hooked up with his favorite target Zach Moreno for touchdowns of 49 and 39 yards.
Juan Gomez also scored on a 4-yard touchdown catch for Le Grand.
Mariposa's James Palmer scored on a 40-yard fumble return for the Grizzlies first score.
Le Grand will have a bye in the first round of the playoffs as it tries to repeat as section champions.
Mariposa will likely start the playoffs on the road.
