Chowchilla can't slow down Coalinga's Alvarado

COALINGA -- Brian Alvarado racked up 179 rushing yards and two touchdowns to help lead the Horned Toads to a 26-20 win over Chowchilla in the second round of the Central Section Division 4 playoffs.

Devin Gaines ran for 72 yards, scoring on a 30-yard run and a 57-yard pass from DeVaughn Gaines for Chowchilla (8-3).

DeVaughn Gaines finished with 207 total yards, including 146 through the air.

Damian Ribera gave Coalinga the lead for good with a 70-yard interception return in the second quarter, making it 20-13.
