College Basketball: Chambers paces UC Merced in win

Aki Chambers’ game-high 30 points and nine rebounds helped UC Merced get off to a fast start and cruise to an 86-73 victory over Pacific Union at Hostetler Court on Saturday night.

Chambers was one of four Golden Bobcats to score in double digits as they took a commanding 46-25 lead into intermission.

Guard Michael Yonemoto had 17 points and four assists for UC Merced (4-6 California Pacific Conference, 5-14), while George Idehen (11 points) and Griffin Alexander (10) had big games off of the bench.
